A REFLECTION FROM REVEREND MADDALONE
I saw a bumper sticker the other day that read: “Blessed by the Best.” It stuck with me as I reflected on my first year here as the pastor of the Palisades Presbyterian Church. I certainly have felt “Blessed by the Best” as I’ve gotten to know people in the church and the community and as I have had the privilege of journeying with many people through this miracle of consciousness we call life.

The Lenten season, beginning on Ash Wednesday, February 25th until Easter Sunday, April 12th, is a time of quiet reflection, prayer and spiritual growth. Midnight Run – Friday May 23rd 10:00 pm.
The church will participate in a Midnight Run on Friday, May 23rd; this is part of our mission outreach - touching the lives of some of the homeless people who live on the cold streets of Manhattan. We bring food, clothing and toiletries to designated locations around the city. Midnight Run is a volunteer organization dedicated to finding common ground between the housed and the homeless. Our local Hudson Presbytery is one of several Presbyteries that support this organization, and many other churches, synagogues and schools contribute as well to these midnight missions that take place every night of the year.

October '06 Palisades Presbyterian Church News
Summer is over, school has begun, and the young children are back at Palisades Church on Sundays, adding their presence to the congregation. During each Sunday's "Children's Message" we all lean forward to make certain we catch their special comments and answers to questions.
Worship is at 10:00 AM every Sunday, and the 1st Sunday of each month we have Communion. The children return to the sanctuary and sit with their parents to share in that ritual.
