Palisades Cemetery Meeting On May 11

At 3 o'clock on Saturday, May 11, we invite anyone interested in our historic Palisades Cemetery to meet at the Palisades Community Center for a discussion of the pres- ent status of the cemetery and of its future. The procedures needed for the community to acquire cemetery ownership and assume its opera- tions will be the subject of the agenda. We will be considering the formation of a not-for-profit corpora- tion, required by law in order to assume ownership, and need to hear the communityʼs reaction. Since the meeting last fall, we have had a title search made and have narrowed down the choices facing the community if we decide to pre serve the cemetery. We will present these options at the meeting, and will ask for input from everyone who can attend. Your input is important — please join us on May 11th.

Walking Dogs on Woods Road* (Any Road, Really)
Woods Road is a great place to walk dogs, particularly if you're taking a long walk into the park. Unfortunately, there are pets that leave unsightly and unsanitary reminders of their visits. WoodsRoad is a private road, and if you are not a resident, you travel it as a guest; local laws apply, as should common courtesy toward one's neighbors. So please, be aware of the impact of your dog's presence (and presents!).
