Two Palisades residents, both of whom have suffered from tick-borne disease in the last few years, have drawn up a questionnaire about this community problem. They plan to write an article on the subject for an upcoming issue of 10964.
Because the authors ask for a separate questionnaire for each incidence of tick-borne disease, some residents may need more than one copy of the questionnaire. Attached to this article is a pdf file of the questionnaire, which is due by October 31.

New Visual Arts Program
Elaine Smollin has created a new visual arts program called DRAWING THE ENVIRONMENT located within the Palisades Interstate Park at Alpine NJ in the historic Captain's House. The program offers landscape study through drawing.
By placing the studio classroom directly in the environment of the Palisades students may study drawing as it is practised in both fine art and archaeology.

Announcing Publication of a New Palisades Community Directory
To our friends and neighbors in Palisades: It’s time for a new Community Directory of the names, addresses and phone numbers of just our friends and neighbors. The last directory was published by the Palisades Presbyterian Church in 1982. It was an instant success.
Much has changed since those days. New families have come, others departed. We now have e-mail and cell phones. But much is still the same. We still view ourselves as a vibrant, colorful and cohesive community. That’s why we feel the time has come to publish a new Community Directory. The cost will be $7 per copy.
If you wish to be included, please fill out the form in 10964, enclose your check and mail to Lynne Sandhaus, 201 Route 9W, Palisades, NY 10964. We need the information listed below. Make checks payable to Palisades Community Directory. Thank you!
