A NOTE FROM BOB JOHNSON
I was very pleased to run across your wonderful website.
I was brought up on Horne Tooke Road from 1957
(I was 12 when my parents moved) until 1969 when I
graduated from Farleigh Dickinson University after getting
a design degree from the Art Center School in Los
Angeles. I then married a teacher from the Rose Haven
School for Girls and moved away. I had a paper route
on the Rockleigh side, worked at the Rockleigh Esso
all through high school, and cleaned pools (DeFlorez,
Knowlton, Wallace,) was good friends with Polly Cameron,
etc., etc. I miss Palisades, but alas, I am retired in
central Tennessee. I can be reached at 931-252-2448 or
by email at robertj291@gmail.com

PALISADES CEMETERY UPDATE
Our historic cemetery is a beautiful place in the spring,
and I hope that you will stop by to see it if you have never
been there. We are happy to report that a generous gift
will allow us to begin to repair and re-erect some of the
damaged older stones. Please call Alice Gerard at 845-
359-4338 if you are interested in buying a grave. She will
show you what is available and answer any questions
you have. Each grave costs $2000 and will hold three
cremation burials or two regular burials.
