A Christmas Gift: A Celebration of the 200th Year of the Birth of Charles Dickens

The Palisades Presbyterian Church invites you to attend a professional reading of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, the classic novel about a Victorian-era miser taken on a journey of self-redemption, on Sunday, December 16, at 5:00 pm. This early evening hour was chosen so that families with elementary school-aged children could attend and, for some, be introduced to Dickens for the first time.

This presentation is a Christmas gift from Palisades Presbyterian Church to the community. There will be no admission charge; however, a “free-will offering” will be taken during intermission to benefit our largest local food pantry, People to People. Tappan resident and professional actor John Garland who some of you may remember as the Stage Manager in the church’s production of Our Town some years ago will be portraying Ebenezer Scrooge. Come one, come all!
