DMV SHORTCUT
There is not a Division of Motor Vehicles in Nanuet but there is something that comes very close. Housed in an unobtrusive store front for the last 18 years, Wendy's Auto Express, owned by Suffern resident Wendy Winneck, can process things like registrations, duplicate titles and even license plates for a nominal cost with no lines or hassles.
It was Wendy's mother that had the original idea because she would go to motor vehicles and wait and wait and sometimes she would do favors for friends and wait some more. Now there's no more waiting and they're nice on top of it. Andrew, Wendy's son, 26, works there and even though he is not a car guy (he likes sports) does like to help people as does everyone else there.
Over the years, Wendy has gotten customers from Westchester as well as the city. Even a few celebrities have used Wendy's services because young or old, rich or poor, famous or not, no one wants to wait in line.
