We welcome the newly elected Board members and give a heartfelt thank you to out-going President Michele Balm. Michele, PCC president for six years, created a number of new initiatives at the PCC, the most important being the restoration campaign to make much needed repairs to the building. Among a number of successful social events, her most rewarding accomplishment was the Palisades History Day which brought the community together and the creation of a remarkable Palisades Living History 2 DVD set that preserves our rich Palisades history on film.

The new Board is: President Carol Baxter, Vice-President Carol Knudson, Secretary Sheila Chin, Treasurer Jill Wecht and Michele Balm, Alice Buchannan, Leo Keegan, and Honorary Board members Virginia McCauley and Janis Cavanaugh. Program Director is Eileen Larkin. We welcome community input and participation in event planning.

We welcome the “Palis-Agers” group to the PCC. If you are over 65, contact Alice Gerard at gerard55@verizon.net to get information on their up-coming meetings and events.

Thank you to the following people who generously “lent-a-hand” to the PCC last month: Neil Balm, Larry Buccerelli, Luke and Jim Graney, Cellen Wolk, Gerry Miras and the Palisades Library. We greatly appreciate the donation of services from home improvement contractors to make the much needed repairs to this community building. Also, if you are remodeling your home or up-grading your home entertainment equipment, think of donating your old stuff to us.
