A LETTER FROM CAROL BAXTER

During this season of Thanksgiving, I would like to thank those who have made it possible for the PCC to exist. That might seem a bit dramatic—“to exist”—but the PCC receives no local or state funding of any kind, so the maintaining of the building rests solely on our community. We are very fortunate to have a building such as this. It is beautiful, it is functional and it has held a prominent position in Palisades for 140 years. I thank…

  • the PCC board for their enthusiasm and commitment to restoring the building and keeping the doors open,

  • all our 2010 members,

  • all who made generous financial donations to our restoration efforts, enabling us to accomplish so much,

  • the businesses who by discounting their services made it possible for us to make critical repairs,

  • all teens and adults who have volunteered at our events,

  • all who have donated items to our flea market and book sales and all those who have come to shop! The dollars add up!

  • all who have rented the building for classes or private events.

We especially thank the following for lending a hand this fall: Joyce Gavin, Bernie Doyle, Susan Nemesdy, Robby Whitstock, Larry Tabor, Michele & Nicole Balm, Kate Plotkin, Vienna & Ellis Guzewich, Andy Fowler, Chris Chin, Ken Carbone, Grace Knowlton, Marika Hahn, Mary Tiegreen, Cellen Wolk, Maryanne Brueckner, Boy Scout John Daly, Cub Scouts Webelo Den 2 Pack 88, Simon and Stefany Bergson, Annie Gerard, Shelly Cohen, Larry Buccarielli, Luke and Jim Graney, Mike Dillon & Dorian Tunell.

We look forward to new events and activities in the coming year and we welcome your 2011 membership and investment in the PCC. Join us at our Annual PCC Community meeting on Monday, Jan 10, at 7:30 pm.

Sincerely,
Carol Baxter, President
