Farmer’s Market
The Palisades Indoor Winter Farmers’ market was again successful. It will return in February.
In the meantime, this summer, we began Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) with our farmer friends, the Jones of Blooming Hill Organic Farm. Every Friday morning, individual boxes of fruit and veggies that were picked the day before are delivered to us. For those interested in trying it out, contact Alice Buchanan at BuchananNY@ aol.com or Carol Baxter at carolbaxter7@gmail.com

Restoration Campaign
This Spring we refurbished the smaller classroom by taking down the commercial fluorescent lights and the stained tiled ceiling and replaced it with a plaster ceiling and Palisades Schoolhouse light fixtures to match the big room. The damaged walls throughout were prepared and painted and the radiators cleaned. The room is quite beautiful.
Over the summer, Boy Scout John Daly of Swan Street took on a restoration project at the PCC for his Eagle Leadership Service Project. Completion of this project will award him the highest Boy Scout rank: Eagle Scout. His project is to refurbish the lobby, which involves restoration of the floor, plastering, repairing and painting the walls and ceiling, building wainscot utility cupboards and a large community bulletin board. We have been impressed with his enthusiasm, leadership skills and talents in accomplishing his goal and are grateful that he chose to help us restore this building.
And thank you to those who discounted their services to our recent projects: Dorian Tunnel of Tunnel Electric, Wayne Garrison of Garrison Construction, Robby Whitstock, Eric Hovde, Carl Hayes, Charlie at Floor Solutions, John Concklin of Ready Alarm.
And for continued help over the summer: Susan Nemesdy, Luke Graney, Cellen Wolk, Mary Ann Brueckner, Joyce Gavin and Bernie Doyle
