NEW LANGUAGE LEARNING SERVICE
With over 90 language options, including English, for
speakers of other languages, this service allows patrons
to access the system remotely and offers an unprecedented
number of learning options. Transparent
Language Online features listening, reading, speaking,
and writing exercises, as well as integrated pronunciation
analysis, vocabulary acquisition exercises, conversational
language courses, video grammar lessons,
and a robust social community.
NEW CATALOG SYSTEM
Our computerized catalog and circulation system is
scheduled to be replaced between December 5 and
December 8. During this time the catalog will not display
accurate circulation data nor will it allow hold requests
to be placed. You may still check out and return
books and movies while we make this transition.
The new library catalog will have a different look and feel,
and will offer additional searching capabilities. You will
also be able to pay fines on line using PayPal, and select
the location from which you want to pick up your items.
Thank you for your patience with the library staff as
they get used to new workflows. If you have any questions,

CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS
All programs are free and held at the library. Registration
is required. There are three ways to register: in
person at the library, by phone (845-359-0136), or online
at www.palisadeslibrary.org and get an automatic
email reminder.
Gingerbread House Building: Wednesday, Dec 7,
4:30 pm – 6:00 pm. Construct an edible house with
candy and other edible décor. Ages 5 - 12
Holiday Flip Cards: Thursday, Dec. 9,
4:30 pm – 6:00 pm. Create a cool flip card that keeps
opening and turning into a new picture. Ages 8+
Seasonʼs Greetings Fun: Tuesday, Dec. 13,
4:30 pm – 5:30 pm. Stories, crafts and games about
holidays in December. Ages 2 - 5
Toddler Story Time: Wednesdays at 11:30 am beginning December 7
