The Artist's Way Meetup Exhibit, featuring the artwork of participants in the Library’s The Artist’s Way Monthly Meetup, will be on display in the community room December 1 – December 31. All are invited to the opening reception: Sunday, December 4, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm.

Adult Programs

Open Mah Jongg Play The Mah Jongg group meets every Tuesday. Advanced beginners and experienced players welcome for casual, noncompetitive play. No instruction is provided and we recommend that you bring your own National Mah Jongg League card.

The Artist's Way Monthly Meetup Whether you create art to live or simply wish to live more creatively, find your motivation while we explore The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron. Meetings are on the first Wednesday of every month. Newcomers welcome.

Book Social Calling all avid readers and book club members. Come to the library for dessert and literary discussion. We’ll talk about all our favorite books from 2016 and the most anticipated books of 2017. Cookbook Club Do you love browsing through cookbooks and trying new recipes? Do you enjoy sampling and sharing new dishes? Part potluck, part discussion, the new Palisades Free Library Cookbook Club is for you! Here’s how it works: 1) Stop by the Reference Desk to sign up and pick out a recipe from the cookbook. 2) Library staff will make you a copy of the recipe you select, or you can check out a copy of the cookbook to take home. 3) Prepare the recipe at home and bring it in on the night of the meeting to share with other participants while we discuss the cookbook. Gingerbread House Building An annual tradition at the Palisades Library. Bring a box of graham crackers to construct an edible house with candy and other tasty goodies. Children ages: 5-12. Registration required.
