Ebooks Update
If you own an iPad, Kindle or Barnes and Noble Nook, you can read ebooks from the Library for free. Ninety-nine Palisades residents have signed up to use the Library’s ebook collection. There are over 5,000 ebook titles available through the RCLS consortium. Over 150 ebooks are “Advantage” titles reserved for Palisades card-holders. Because these Advantage titles are only available to Palisades card-holder there is often no wait list or a very short one. Some of the new titles available are: Flight Behavior by Barbara Kingsolver; The Round House by Louise Erdrich; Telegraph Avenue by Michael Chabon; Dearie: The Remarkable Life of Julia Child by Bob Spitz; Defending Jacob by William Landay; My Beloved World by Sonia Sotomayor; Tenth of December by George Saunders; Twelve Tribes of Hattie by Ayana Mathis.
