PALISADES FREE LIBRARY EARNS GREEN BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP CERTIFICATION
We completed the steps set forth by the Green Business Partnership and in December we received GBP certifi- cation. Staff tracked travel, swapped out water bottles for a water dispenser, replaced fluorescent light fixtures with LEDs, and weighed garbage and recycled materials. The new HVAC system put the library on track to achieve the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions from 2017 levels by 50%. To learn more about the Palisades Free Library's efforts visit our website to view the Green Business Partnership presentation.
POTS AND PANS IN PALISADES
4TH EDITION COOKBOOK
There is still time to make a submission! Please join us in supporting the library by adding a favorite fam- ily recipe to the fourth edition of “Pots and Pans in Palisades.” Profits from the sale of the new edition will ensure the library will remain a community landmark and treasure for future generations. The previous editions of the “Pots and Pans” have become fascinating time capsules capturing the flavor of life in our little hamlet.
Send us a recipe, a high resolution digital photo of Palisades (past or present) or share information about your special culinary-related skill. Visit the Friends page of our website for more information. Email submissions to friends@palisadesfreelibrary.org by March 7.
