The next board meeting is Wednesday, April 12 at 7:00 pm in person at the library. All meetings are open to the public.

HOURS
Open Monday through Thursday, 11:00 am – 8:00 pm, Friday and Saturday from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm and Sunday from 1:00 – 5:00 pm. Closed Friday, April 7 and Sunday, April 9.

Sarah Buterbaugh served on the library board of trustees from 2018 through 2022. We thank her for her wisdom and guidance through personnel changes and funding challenges. She was always willing to give a hand at our special events like Winterfest, Springfest and Farm Day. Thank you, Sarah!

WELCOME NEW YOUTH SERVICES LIBRARIAN DIANA COLGAN
Diana is currently enrolled in Long Island University’s Palmer School of Library and Information Science. Prior to pursuing a career in libraries, Diana taught high school math. She will be working afternoons on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please stop by and say hello and let Diana know what kind of books your family likes to read.

ADULT PROGRAMS
Palisades People and Pets in Sculpture
Sunday, March 26 at 2:00 pm in the Marie H. Firestone Community Room. Local artist Cristina Biaggi shares sculptures and stories of people of Palisades and their pets.

Flying High: Betty the Pan Am Stewardess
Wednesday, March 29 at 7:00 pm on Zoom. In this historical portrayal, historian Leslie Goddard, Ph.D., takes you on an exciting, true story about the real- life stewardesses for Pan Am, the most glamorous U.S. airline. Learn about serving the rich and famous, about the strict height, weight and age requirements, about cooking gourmet meals and enduring some wild rides.

Bard of the Hudson
Sunday, April 23 at 4:00 pm in the Marie H. Firestone Community Room, Diana Green will bring to life some of the best-loved stories from her podcast, The Bard of Hudson, and share tales of the original Bard, Shakespeare, in honor of his 459th birthday. Spend a pleasant spring hour with her as she weaves together folktales from various countries, songs and personal vignettes in an intimate “fireside” chat.

Celebrating Palisades Poets
Date and Time in April TBD. Local poets Harriet Hyams and Laura Zaino will read from their recently published books of poetry.
