CHILDREN’S SUMMER READING PROGRAM
Before you know it, summer vacation will be here. We are currently planning our summer reading programs. In addition to some great craft and musical programs, we will again be encouraging all children to keep on reading over the summer. Our reading theme this year is “Catch the Reading Bug,” which will offer children opportunities to keep logs of the books they read, discuss what they have read with someone on the library staff, and win prizes for all their efforts. Look for a flyer detailing all these activities and our summer kick-off program in late June.
TAPPAN ZEE THRIFT SHOP
The thrift shop has notified us that we need to supply more volunteer hours if we wish to continue as a participating organization. Several people every other week for 3 hour shifts will fulfill our obligation. Please call the library if you can help – 359-0136.
