Building
Improvements
The architectural plans for the
next phase of the library expansion
including improvements to
the outside for the building and
surrounding property have been
approved by the Orangetown Planning
Board, The Orangetown Zoning
Board and the Historic Areas
Board of Review. In October we
plan to break ground on the two
new parking spaces.
DVDs Available
for Holds
DVDs that are over 3 months old are available
for holds and may be checked out for 7 days, up
to 7 DVDs at a time. New DVDs are still first
come, first served and circulate 3 at a time for
up to 3 days.
eReaders Available
Through a generous grant from the Library Association
of Rockland County, we have 2 Barnes
& Noble Nooks available for loan and preloaded
with eBooks. The Nooks can be reserved at the
reference desk and circulate for 3 weeks.
Adult Book Discussions
Wednesday, October 17, 7:30 pm at the library:
Celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the birth
of Edith Wharton with a discussion of House of
Mirth.
Wednesday, November 7, 7:30 pm at the library: a discussion of Gilded Age by Claire McMillan (a modern take on House of Mirth).
Children's Programs
All programs are free and held at the library.
