In Memory of Jordan Barreto

The Haverstraw Police Athletic League has established a memorial fund to help the family of 11-year old Jordan Barreto-Mehta pay for his funeral expenses.
Jordan was hit by a car and killed on January 16 as he and his brother and another friend were crossing Route 9W at the intersection with Oak Tree Rd. near their home in Palisades. The Haverstraw-based organization, which serves children throughout Rockland, has reached out to the child's family, said Peter Eckert, director of the organization. Funeral arrangements are private.
