Obituary: Kimberly Seaman, 1956-2021
Kimberly "Kim" Cathryn Kepko Seaman lost her battle with blood cancer at the age of 65 on November 21st, 2021 in Nyack, New York, surrounded by family. Kim was born on September 11th, 1956 in Plainview, Long Island to her loving parents Edward and Mary Kepko.
Kim spent much of her childhood taking dance classes and swimming at Jones Beach. She graduated from Plainview High School and went on to earn a Bachelors of Therapeutic Recreation at SUNY Brockport. After she moved to Rockland, Kim became a local legend when she established the Workout Zone in Nanuet, an all-women fitness studio where she organized and taught classes for hundreds of avid students. Afterward, she continued to do the work she loved when she became a gym instructor at Rockland Community College for several years before becoming a personal trainer. When she wasn't in the gym or dance studio, Kim spent much of her time volunteering for different organizations, such as the American Heart Association which honored her as "VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR" and the American Cancer Society. Kim was a selfless woman who would give to everyone. She was known for her fierce and spunky nature, witty humor, great music taste, and for always wearing the funkiest clothes. Her spirit lives on in her husband Robert E. Seaman III, their three young daughters Blair, Kendall, and Kylie and in the hearts of all she touched. The most beautiful ballerina is now dancing above us with the angels in heaven.
