October is Rockland History Month

To celebrate, the Historical Society of Rockland County has put together an exhibit entitled, Rockland History: Through Your Eyes, from September 26 to November 7.

Art works from forty-one visual artists throughout Rockland County give a sense of time and place in Rockland history. Two of our Palisades’ local artists are in the show. There will be a large photograph of the Palisades Free Library windows honoring Beatrice Agnew by stained glass artist Harriet Hyams and a double photograph titled Seasons One and Seasons Two by Ellen Galinsky. An audio tour that includes a one-minute explanation from each artist can be downloaded to listen to as you view the art. The museum is located at 20 Zucor Road, New City.
